Nottingham, our home for a year in 1972/3

After leaving our B&B, we drove north to Nottingham. We took our usual route leaving the M1 for A453 and headed for West Bridgeford going right by the power station. After a difficult time trying to remember the route, we drove up Stamford Road noticing the houses on the right. The center one belonged to Brian and Joan Webber, who we will see later in East Sussex.
This was our house there, looking lots nicer than in 1972.
The back garden now sports a patio and furniture.
These were our closest shops -- note the Blockbuster way on the right. Not there in 1972.
This is the inside of the Test Match pub -- no change here.
And this is our old Fish and Chips shop with the Test Match behind.
We bought some Fish and Chips and they were terrible!!!!
We drove around Nottingham, found the university where I spent many hours while on sabbatical, but found nobody I knew and the occasional rain spoiled any picture taking opportunities.
