Our First Concert in Plzen
A choir tour is a very special experience, especially for the singers. We sang Mozart's Requiem and Ave Verum in four very different settings with two different orchestras and each one was special in its own way.

Left: (C2-02) After a rather long bus drive, we came into the Plzen town square and there, in the center, was St. Bartholomew Cathedral.
We were somewhat late, so we assembled very quickly at the front for a short (we thought) rehearsal. (C2-03) Actually, we went through the whole concert -- the sound was very different in this 5-second echo chamber.
Right: (C2-04) You may have noticed in the picture of our rehearsal the Madonna and child. At the right is a closer picture of it from where I was standing. It is very old and famous.
Across from the cathedral, there was a large wall of posters, and right in the center is our ad -- right below a couple of very colorful adds for Jesus Christ Superstar. (C2-06)

We had a wonderful dinner party at the Plzen brewery, which served us the best beer in the world. For ordering prints, each picture will have it's I.D. number at the bottom. I will not identify each person at each table. This exercise is left for the reader.

We got back from the party very late, slept a bit and were off the next day for Prague. On the way, we again drove through a region that is noted for it's hops farms. This lucky shot, taken from the bus, shows such a field.(C2-30.)

The bottom left picture (C2-32) is of the same place we on the way to K.V. and in the bottom right, watermelon is being hungrily consumed. (C2-33)
